Anyone got this barrel to fit in a factory Tikka lite stock?

it wasn't a lot. it will depend on how much shank the smilth leaves on. if you make sure its cut and threaded in the sweet spot closest to matching the factory contour its not a ton. Opening up the factory plastic stock is probably a pain. He bought a Boyds laminate and it was easy to open up with nothing more than a 3/4" sanding drum on a cordless drill.

I've opened up a T3 stock. Not too bad. I went with this route.

1) Blue painters tape on the underside of the barrel
2) Cut heavy grit sand paper into strips
3) Sit barreled action into stock
4) Slide strips of sand paper between the barrel and the stock, grit side down towards the stock.
5) Slide strips back and forth, using the contour of the barrel as the guide to re-countour the stock.

It takes time and is slower going than using sand paper around sockets, but I've had success getting larger barrels to float in the T3. Current project is dropping a CTR barreled action into a T3. Almost there.
