Barrett Fieldcraft find

After seeing this girl collecting dust for months at my local sportsman’s warehouse I figured I shouldn’t wait any longer and give it a try. It’s a 24” #2 6.5 creed.
New 3-15x42 vortex coming in tomorrow!

Pretty surprised it hadn’t sold yet and hope I get some good use out of it soon.

How has your experience been with the Barrett Fieldcraft?

Awesome. It seems the 6.5 Barretts hung around longer than others. What sportsman's location? I had 2 or 3 locations near me (UT) that had them for awhile earlier this year.

They are very accurate.
Most everyone I know that has one, they have no complaints.

I have the Fieldcraft 21” 6.5 CM with the same 3-15 LHT. Great little rifle. Super accurate. Haven’t found something it doesn’t shoot well. You’ll be pleased. You got it at a great price IMO. I’ve seen some new ones go for crazy prices and used fetch more than yours. Be stoked. It’s a great gun. Let us know how it shoots! FYI I can run low rings with caps with that scope just fine.

So far my best option for new rings are Talley lows, 4-6 weeks out

I have the Fieldcraft 21” 6.5 CM with the same 3-15 LHT. Great little rifle. Super accurate. Haven’t found something it doesn’t shoot well. You’ll be pleased. You got it at a great price IMO. Good find. The 24” was a limited run towards the end so I suspect that’s why there are a few tucked away here and there. I have the same 6.5 24” barrel with the vortex LHT as well. Shoots really well with 143 eldx and h4350. If only I had bought a 21” and a 18” threaded to go with it…

Don’t reload yet but have some 120 gr eld-m on the way. Looking forward to trying a higher grain when I start working on farther shots

I have a slightly used set of 30mm lows, the screws would need to be cleaned as I used loctite blue, but PM if you are interested
