Barrel clean question

I’ve read on here that cleaning a rifle barrel isn’t necessary. I primarily hunt with a 20 ga slug gun with sabot slugs being I have to shoot it on the land I hunt. With shooting sabot slugs does this change on how often I need to clean my barrel ?

Yeah just get a solvent meant for shotguns and plastic fouling and clean it after heavy use.
