Barnes 145g OTMBT 6.5prc

Has anyone tried hunting with the Barnes 145g OTMBT? My 6.5prc Tikka seems to love everything around the 140g but I’m trying to find something alittle heavier in factory loads since I don’t reload. I’m currently shooting 140g Bergers and the gun loves it it. 15rd groups are around 1.5 (that’s with me being an “ok” shooter) and successfully harvested a bull elk at 500 yrds last year with one well placed shot. I’m just trying to find something with alittle hirer BC and just alittle more mass to the bullet.

Hornady makes a 147 ELDM factory load
Berger makes a 156 EOL factory load

Those two are by far the most popular 6.5 PRC factory hunting ammo

My rifle hated the 156eol, like a 3inch 12 shot group and did a 12 shot group around 2 inch with the ELDM and ELDX.

I have also shot Noslers 140g ballistic tip and 142g accubond. Shot both somewhere close to 1.75 for a 12 shot group but the Bergers were faster and if I recall correctly had a higher BC.

Only factory ammo I haven’t tried yet are these Barnes 145g and Federals loading of the 143eldx.
