Ball head handle???

I did the same mod based off of this thread and have been happy with it so far. Ive been using it with my kowa tsn55 and my binos and it has worked well. Not sure how it would work for shooting or large spotters but its a very cheap and easy swap of parts.

I think there are ball head people and joystick people.

I used to be a vert grip ball head guy. I have not seen one of those in ages, I still have one set up on an old manfrotto I use for photography.

Mostly I use a regular Sarui ball head now.

I've been shooting my muzzle loader off it and it does pretty well, have to keep the handle opposite the bipod and it can slip a bit with recoil but I havent really been cranking it down hard hard

My new Aziak Lite ball head has a slot in the ball housing that allows you to run it like a pan head. I had to watch a video to figure it out but quite handy.

Threw together a little proof of concept handle for my front country ball head. Should give me a useable enough experience to decide if I want to try glassing off the head.

If it works I’ll ponder trying to design something ha

How are you removing the screws that hold the plate to the ball? I had a Colorado cheap ball I dropped and broke the pan screw so I tried to remove the plate unsuccessfully. Even tried an impact driver to break it free
