Not with the vapor barrier but other liners.

I think they are a waste. An extra set of base layers has more than one use. I don't think they really added anything and I would get all twisted up in them.

The only liner I ever saw worth it's weight was a kifaru woobie. That added warmth, and I could take it out of the bag if I desired. But with that came weight.

I usually just sleep in my clothes anyways. The only time I got cold last season was when it snowed on me and I got stuck sleeping under my tarp thrown on the ground with a rock blocking the wind/horizontal snow. I got a bit wet, but my bag is synthetic and so were most of my clothes. Uncomfortable, but I didn't freeze. Maybe I should just buy a new bag in the $100-$150 range and forget about the liner?

Edit: I also thought about putting my bag inside of this http://wiggys.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=197 but then I'm most of the way in price to a new bag from them instead...http://wiggys.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=273

I think going with a liner to up a bags temp rating is kind of a crutch, I had a couple different lines that eventually ended up leaving my gear pile. Again I don't have any experience with vapor barriers but I'd think in the wrong conditions that would leave you wet as well. For 100 to 150 I don't really have any suggestions but I'm sure others will chime in.

I'm going down the bivy path. Seems that the getting wet part is subjective. You either choose a heavy waterproof bivy or an ultra light bivy that will keep bugs out, but isn't waterproof at all.
