I sprung for a Redcliff and stove, so now I'm narrowing down my bag and pad options.

Pad wise, I'm thinking Klymit Static V Luxe Insulated. 70D and 4.4R rating. Heavy, but I think good sleep is important. I've also looked into the Big Agnes pads, too. Thoughts on the pad for those who have used it?

Bag wise:
I like the idea of a quilt, but I can't afford the higher-end variety. I'm a side sleeper mostly, but I've always used traditional mummy bags and haven't minded them too much. I've narrowed down to the following options, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Sierra Designs BACKCOUNTRY QUILT 700 / 20 DEGREE
Backcountry Quilt 20 Degree | Sierra Designs

Sierra Designs BACKCOUNTRY BED 700 / 20 DEGREE
Backcountry Bed 700 / 20 Degree | Sierra Designs

Nemo Riff 15 Degree
Riff™ Men's Down Sleeping Bag

Thoughts on these bags? Similar options to consider?

I used the luxe for my dads goat hunt, due to the remnants of a typhoon, the only place out of the 50mph wind was basically a rock field with moss on top. We slept on the rocks, dad said was the best he ever slept on the ground, so I will be buying the smaller version for me to try out.

For your bag, in the price range of the Sierra if you have a few weeks to wait, I would order a Enlightened Equip concert if you want a bag instead of a quilt. I bought the largest they made for dad, 74” diameter, 6’6”, 32 oz at 20 degrees. For the largest I think was 375, cheaper for the average sized ones. Good luck with your choices

I should mention....I get a discounted price on the bags I listed through Experticity. So, that skews the price range a little.

We used big agnes insulated air core ultras for the first time, buddy slept on a root stick 3"s out of the ground, never felt it, next thing to dragging you mattress with you.

I just received a Nemo Riff 15 today. Haven't had a chance to sleep in it yet but climbed inside while in my house and it seems pretty good from what I can tell. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Besides being a little more pricey than the other two I listed, I didn't see that it had a pad sleeve. Think that would be a problem?

Not on that 30" wide pad. If you roll off that thing, you got issues
