There’s no noise upon opening. You can control the noise on closing by placing your thumb at the top of the magnetic strip and allowing it easily close together, making no noise at all. Or you can shove it back together and it will have a slight “pop”.

Do you know what size of binoculars would fit in these?

Just put my 10x50s in there and they fit easily. But I don’t think it’d hold 15x56s.
