I've used my 2200 for a number of day hunt meat retrievals. It has batwings and a Load sling on the Outer(back) part of the Pack. Most new designs have this sling between the frame and pack.
This last hunt I decided to put my pack contents in a stuff sack (actually a spare Meat sack). I then put the 4 antelope quarters in the Main compartment of the pack, and my pack contents in the stuff sack in the load sling. I cinched the head in the load sling and went on my merry way with the densest part of my load closer to my back.
So pack a stuff sack in addition to meat bags and a contractor grade garbage sack to line your pack and your load will ride better.
