I also bought the vertical grip for my 7 prc and feel like it was a game changer. Do you notice a big difference with the recoil pad? I shoot suppressed and I really feel like there’s not much recoil as everyone talks about with the 7prc but looking to cut as much recoil out as possible.

This is the first time in my life I have played around with anything other than an out of the box rifle. It tickles my fancy just fine. Swfa 3-15 gen 2, 25-06, 24 inch Xcaliber barrel, ab a10 suppressor, tikka action and an xlr folding stock.

My PRS 6.5 CM T3x CTR in an MDT XRS with MK5. Kept the hunting T3X 6.5 PRC in the factory cheapie stock with Razor LHT. 8 lbs vs 14 lbs

If I had a favorite rifle, this .270 Tikka build would be it. It’s within an oz of 8# with 5 rounds in the mag(not including the bipod).
1) AG Privateer stock
2) Swarovski Z3 3-10 in the UM micro height rail mounted rings
3) UM rail level and recoil lug
4) mountain tactical bottom metal and SS action screws
5) pic/arca rail installed
6) lighter trigger spring installed

I picked this gun up used and on sale though it looked unfired.

Sub moa accurate with most factory ammo and very accurate with Federal Fusion specifically. I hope to nitride the barrel and action when I really have it dialed in.

I'm collecting parts for a similar build on a .270 tikka. How do you like that stock? Its the one I've been eyeing up the most.

The AG Composites Privateer is great. It is really at home on a lightweight hunting rig that you will carry much more than you will shoot. It doesn’t have the VG that so many of the new stocks are coming out with but the more classic grip is more streamlined and lower profile than a VG. A slight negative comb(also slightly higher than factory), solid and stiff composite construction, lighter weight(25 oz on mine) and aluminum strip in the forend for mounting accessories make it a notable upgrade to the factory stock.

The recoil pad is very stiff. I plan to upgrade that soon. It’s got a shorter forend vs factory as well giving it a shorter OAL.

I never shot it with the factory pad on it so I couldn’t tell you for sure. With my brake and the limbsaver on, I don’t feel much recoil!

It was a custom contour to try and get the barrel as light as possible without looking dumb but I think it’s really similar to a Sendero light.

The SRS Ti Pro 4 is the 0.86” I believe

Sorry man I just seen this!

I haven’t chronod it in awhile and it was still sub 100rounds but it was pulling like 2830-2840fps I believe. Since then my dope seems a lot more accurate/on point with factoring my dope closer to 2875fps. I attached a pic showing a true 900yd 3-round group with factory ELD-M. Not too terrible imo, probably -about a foot an a half wide or so?

As far as weight, I believe I’m right at about 8.5lbs ready to hunt NOT including the Tricer RP.

Future upgrades…
This barreled action was originally intended for a one rifle to rule them all build in the 280 AI that was supposed to be around 8# finished weight. Still moving that direction but getting the AI broken in with this chassis has been fun. Stockys VG on the way for that. Eventually, I would like to drop a Tikka 7 PRC or 7 BC barreled action into this chassis. Add a vertical adjustment butt pad adapter.

I’m thinking of getting my first suppressor and running a 20-22” barrel in the BC. That would be super compact once folded and suppressor removed. 180 ELDM’s at well over 3000 sounds fun. Still on the fence on the PRC vs BC choice tho, anyone want to lean in on this? Lol
