Bad experience with BOG monopod

I recently purchased a BOG monopod and it arrived with a crack in the lowest segment joint.
I called CS, which was excellent, and they sent out a replacement part.
Well, it arrived today....with a crack in a different part of the joint.
I've requested yet another replacement, but even if it comes pristine, I've lost confidence that it will hold up to field use.

I guess you get what you pay for. Has anyone else experienced this material fragility?

I have the adrenaline model but saw a different one at Walmart yesterday called something else. Both BOG. Which version did you get? Mine has been fine.

I got the adrenaline as well, from Walmart.
Years ago, there were endless forum debates about whether the Remington 870s sold by Walmart were actually ones that didn't make the grade for the higher end retailers. I don't think it ever got satisfactorily resolved. I did have the thought that this might have been a "made for Walmart" version of lower quality.
