Backyard buck

He’s gonna be a good one this year.

He still has some growing to do.

This is probably the last year I see him. When they get big enough they remember they’re bucks and they go nocturnal.

A couple nights ago I was sitting in the back yard waiting for the foxes to show up and he snuck up on me. How they can move silently is a mystery.

I’ll update as his antlers grow. He’s got a buddy, a year younger, but it looks like they share a dad.

That’s a great buck. It’s awesome to have them in the backyard like that and being able to watch them.

We have a ton of deer around our house like this with some stud bucks. We watch them all summer, then when the rut comes I load the kids up and we drive around and look for bucks it's a good time

I’ve got a similar sized WT buck we have “helped” raise from a fawn. He was not at all shy in April, but has since gone mostly nocturnal.

It's a real treat to have them visiting your yard, offering a unique opportunity to observe and appreciate their beauty up close. Anyway, what a beauty!
