Wondering what others are using for their archery backstops. I shoot one day a week long distance so I decided to build a backstop instead of setting my targets in front of a sand pile. I built two stilts 5' tall with bicycle hooks on the side to hang bow. I also screwed a 5'x7' heavy duty rug to a 2"x4" stud that just hangs on the stilts. Hopefully the weight and drag of carpet will stop the arrow soon after pass through.

I use conveyor belting from a rock yard. It works great for field tips or broad heads. I will take a video or at least a pic tomorrow when I shoot.

That's mine! But I can only shoot up to 30 yards, but I make sure I am covered.

I have a thick rubber mat as my backstop. Like conveyor belt but thicker. Works great at stopping arrows but it's a mutha to pull them back out... Have heard the hanging carpet works well also if you have it doubled up.

Do arrows just barely pass through or do they get stuck at fletch? I've made other backstops where they get caught up at the fletch and it jacks up the vanes.

They barely go in with field points and a little further with broad heads. Kind of a pain to pull some times but not to bad.
