I have the Z3 on my custom 338-06. 6.5 lbs all up .... can't beat the Z3 - best bang for the buck IMO.

the z3 would probably be your lightest option.
i have a 5lbs 300wsm mountain gun but it wears a 33oz kahles k318i lul
i prefer to dial though. and defiantly like being to see at dusk for longer
a NXS 2-10x42 would be a good choice if your wanting reliability and to be able to dial
