I came across these in my Amazon viewing. These straps click on to your backpack straps so your binoculars hang from the straps.

Maybe an option if you don't like harnesses and want to eliminate a cumbersome neck strap. The QD would be easy to move them to a tripod.

at 9.95 guess I have no choice but to try...

Mine arrives today. Search this company on Amazon. They have lots of useful products. Looks like camera gear, but should cross over well.

Be care those clips wear pretty easy than don't lock closed

Any thoughts on a better clip? Looking for similar clips for another project but meet something that can handle some stress

This style holds better and has two locks instead of one. This a picture of range snap I've never had a failure in 7 years. Still make sure you use a quality manufacturer of the hardware because the plastic will eventually get weak.

Both styles of these clips are meant for vertical wear in pals loop so by using horizontal nothing holds it if it fails

Interesting topic....I remember this past season wondering if I could mount my FHF bino pouch or bag to my backpack straps...simply because I always seem to be hunting with both and never taking my pack off. Why carry the extra straps when you can consolidate and save weight.

I added male buckles to my shoulder straps and wear a AGC there, for the same reason....

I tried something similar, but just ran the bino adapter straps to my shoulder straps while using the agc. This allowed the pack to carry the weight.

Humm....I gotta pull my pack out and give this a try. Are you running a rangefinder or gps pouch on the bino harness? I assume I need to move those down to the waist belt again or maybe try the shoulder strap, but those might now be horizontal enough. Something to play with in the off season.

I feel like I would end up choking the crap out of myself if I had those attached to my pack!

I do not know how #1 you could not have your binos on you for easy glassing #2 would be scared of the clip failing and #3 would worry about them getting beat up I throw my pack around a lot. Spotter is protected by caps and pocket but binos outside on clips probably would not work to well. I could never survive with my binos not on my chest. Maybe for a white tail hunter... lol

Did you read this post? 1 it's about range finders 2 if that little clip breaks and it's holding your RF to your harness it's possible it hits the ground and breaks or worse is not noticed and lost. Plenty of different ways to do it.

Often wandered if anyone else did this. I've been doing this for several yrs. clipping my binos to my pack. It sure beats having them hanging around my neck, have to unbuckle them when I take off my pack, clip them back on when I put my pack on but how long does that take to do 10 to 20 seconds.
