I got a Nemo hornet 2p. Weighs about 2.25# and I don’t run a ground cloth. Had it out in rain a bunch and it’s great. Not the roomiest, but good for 1 guy and gear if it’s terrible out.

Those with the x-mid 1p do you prefer the mesh or the solid inner?

Only have the mesh and only used down to +/- 20°. I’ve contemplated purchasing the solid, but after looking at my buddie’s solid this Fall, I don’t think I will. The bottom 12-16” is solid, the rest is mesh. I don’t see a big advantage or value to having both

the KUIU summit star 1 person is great and dry! tons of room for gear in the vestibule and I've never had issues.

One of the main reasons I love it is because you can set it up in pouring rain but the inside will stay dry. Most tents will catch a bunch of water before you get the fly on but not this one. by design you put the main tarp up first and then can hook up the net and ground sheet while protected from the water.

I don't have pictures of it in the field, but here it is in the backyard! Hopefully you can see how much room there is for gear.View attachment 794872

I have the xmid 2 solid. I have not used the regular liner but chose the solid version to have some extra protection from water splashing in from the ground. Also the bigger advantage in my book to the solid version is actually the fly. Duraton uses a #5 aqua guard zipper on the solid and a #3 on the regular. The #5 is bigger and heavier but adds more durability in inclement weather.
