I can understand enjoying a hunt. Any hunt. But I don’t get it when people say they don’t care if they kill anything. It’s not hunting if that’s not a primary goal is it? And even if we can’t always kill elk it’s nice to see and hear them. Elkless elk hunts are brutal. We work too hard before and during a hunt to be able to truly enjoy the experience when we have our hopes up all year. I’m glad people enjoy all of the other aspects if time in the mountains. But I would hope they’ve learned lessons for their next season.

I was in 20A first week of November with a buddy - our hunt plans changed when the Salmon froze up - we didn't find the bucks we were looking for but did see a couple herds of elk - one group was in 20A but the other was across the river. All were 6000-7000' elevation.
