Baby Carrier

I have many miles with the Osprey Poco. It is awesome and my kids really enjoyed it. Plenty of storage and comfy for both of you. I added the weather shield to mine for the cold weather to cut the wind; really great add on.

The deuter fits my wife well but not me. I strapped it to my kifaru frame.

I just had a baby girl this week and I have been thinking about doing this exact thing. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Thank you for the pictures!

Agree with the normal baby carrier until a little older. Mine has good head control on stable found but once we start navigating uneven terrain he starts to bounce around.

Here is another vote for the ergo style baby carrier for babes below one year. Here is my wife and kids on our recent spring outing. My little girl is 9.5 months, and we did 3+ miles. She slept half of it and my wife and I both wore her. Aside from some rosy cheeks she was sleeping or chipper the whole time.

+1 for strapping a kid carrier to a hunting frame. We did this last year for our elk hunt and it makes a huge difference in comfort. Just have to be creative with getting it secured.

We used the ergo with the kids until they were about 8 ish months old and it worked well. Put a lot of miles on it and the kids really enjoyed it. After the ergo we got Deuter and it has worked well.

So I’ve been working on a product for a few years now that enables one to carry a baby/toddler with any of our common made in America hunting packs (SG, Exo, Kifaru). I’m sort of a perfectionist so it’s just never been good enough to take the big leap. I’m to the point now where I need to spend a bunch of money to make it a reality. I’d like to share what I have and receive some feedback. If you guys are interested shoot me a DM.
