Az spring turkey

Whats going on everyone? How's spring turkey going out there? I was in 27 for the first part of the hunt and birds were not talking at all!!! I got one gobler to react a few times but they were just not interested!

Which hunt dates? I had birds gobbling opening weekend of the first season (4/24) but not in 27

Yep that was the hunt! I mean we were in birds on opening morning. We called very conservatively with no response at all until out of nowhere 3 hens came in. Then I got some reaction gobels from a Tom in a different area of the unit a few days later but it was obvious that the action that I heard about earlier on before the hunt had died down. At least up where I was around 8k to 9k ft.

I'm not done yet though. Mine reopened on the 8th till the 21st or something so I'm gonna get back up this next weekend and do a little solo trip to hopefully close the deal. I know where that Tom lives!!!
