Been sick and slammed for too long. Back to full strength.

We are planning on our second shooting meet up south of Phoenix. March 20 to March 22.

I will be camping Friday afternoon March 20, shooting Saturday March 21, camping out and wrapping up March 22 by noon. I can bring cooking gear and food for Saturday breakfast and lunch.

I will have plenty of steel out to 1000 and rocks out to a mile. There is room plenty of room for camping. Bring a canopy for shade.

LS Wild/LS Armory will have gear and some basic tools to help set up rifles.

Details to come. Lemme know what questions or what you would like to see.

@hereinaz Same spot as last year?

Ill should be able to make it. If anyone from UT wants to car pool get in touch.

@HighUintas
Yes, same spot. I will distribute coordinates and directions through DM and text to everyone again.

I have added more t-posts and have more large pieces of steel. I bought a 30 x 22 target that I have been using at 700, and it is actually really helpful to have feedback to actually see pretty much every shot on steel, and see all the shots that I still count as "misses" and would have been off the 10" plate I used to use because of wind.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. My wife is having ankle surgery a few days before and won't be able to drive.

Thanks for organizing again. Sure wish I could join you guys again this year, last year was a blast! Unfortunately I won't be in town that weekend.

Count me in. If anyone wants to carpool from Tucson let me know. I can drive up friday as well to help set-up or if others want to carpool wait until Saturday.

Dang it! I just missed out on it last year and have been waiting a year for this. I’ll be out of town for a wedding that weekend. I’m bummed I’ll miss it.

I guess there’s always next year 😢
Dang, we’ll miss you. This is a big one to make it worth it for some long distance guys. And, do more than a range day. We had some shooters from New Mexico and Utah last year.

For anyone, I go out there all the time, I am always open to anyone who wants to schedule up a smaller informal Saturday shoots with just me or any number of guys. Takes me almost an hour to set up steel and clean up, so I am happy for others to come and get some use out of it too.

Some shooters asked about whether we would have a competition this year. That is my plan.

I want to have a 100 yard board to shoot Form’s baseline competency with standing, kneeling, seated, and prone.

And, I want to have at least two “stages” of a competition. I am thinking one stage can be at the spot on known distance targets to test shooting. Another stage or two can be a couple hundred yards down the road in a new spot to run them like NRL hunter stages that are “blind” so you have to find, range, engage.

I have a lot of more t/posts out there and steel to set up for a competition. I can also set up a second “range” on a lane just a few hundred yards down the road for those who want to compete.

Last time we spent a good part of Saturday helping set up guns and doing some zeroing with instruction and chasing gremlins in the system. I had a plan to do a little comp, but didn’t push it cause it was productive for everyone.

This year, I am thinking mostly Sunday morning we could do competitions. For those that won’t be there, they can run at least part of them on Saturday.

Tell me what you guys are most interested in doing, rifle set up, competition, learning, etc. Even specific demos with how we use gear, like I use tripods and others use packs.

I will have LS Wild gear to demo, test and buy.
