Awesome! Two more weeks for me. Was thinking about going floorless but I think i'll carry the two extra pounds and take my Tarptent.

Awesome! Two more weeks for me. Was thinking about going floorless but I think i'll carry the two extra pounds and take my Tarptent.

I think I'd go with a tent out there simply because there was a lot more tall grass/golden rod than I expected. If you're in grazing country, you'll be sleeping in a patch of knee high grass in a floorless. The more alpine area we first hunted was fine for floorless.

Thanks, we will be at lower elevations so probably will be grassy, won't have to worry about crawly things too, he,he.
