AZ Coues Antler Drop

Heading to southern AZ to do a little camping and curious if anyone has seen coues deer with antlers still.

Most if not all still have their antlers.

March 13th saw one coues buck still packing both antlers. That was NE Arizona @ around 9kft.

That’s amazing, never seen that or ever heard of a Coues dropping that early. So all the other bucks you saw dropped already or that’s the only buck you saw?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, "packing" as in the buck still had both antlers, I saw a dozen or so other coues deer but the rest were does.

Found a couple small bucks with antlers still in southern AZ. Watched a turkey as well chasing a small buck which was kinda funny to watch.

Also heard a bobcat or lion let out a scream/ growl and heard a deer blowing. At first all I heard was the deer but after 10 minutes or so I heard the cat and then the deer again. not sure what was going on but they couldn't have been 200-300 yards from me.

Found one deadhead of a spike but no other antlers.

Went out Saturday Morning for a quick trip. Saw 5 bucks still packing head gear. I would think in the next week or 2
