Hi guys,
Haven't made a post for yonks so thought I'd break it with this one.
This year I drew Australia's biggest tag, the mighty but tiny hog deer! After some scouting trips the hunt came around and I eventually managed to take this nice 7pt stag. I was lucky in that I was the only one of the 12 drawn to take a stag, one other guy took a spike on his last day.
Highlight of my hunting life so far!

Thanks guys,

Jwb300 - just gotta keep at it, I've been in since a junior, think this was my 8th year. But then I know blokes who've been in the whole 27 years and never been drawn and also one bloke last year that was the second Name out for first period blond bay on his first time in the ballot.

I was drawn 1st period boole poole. Completely different hunt to blond bay, much harder I reckon. If you draw one day and want some info I'm happy to help.

Sitting up a tree with the muzzleloader trying to fill my hind tag. No luck unfortunately.

Cheers JP a very generous off that I hope to take you up on - great pics too mate

For those who don't know much about hoggies - this is one of the only places you can hunt free range hog deer in the world.

It truly is an awesome opportunity and it is only $15 for entry into the ballot and there are usually less than 1000 entries so the odds aren't too bad.
