Anyone know what the rough equivalent to the Kuiu attack pants Sitka has? Looking at the mountain pants but need a reference point with something I’m familiar with..

I would say mountain is closest. Design is a bit busier and the mountains have knee pads and no hip zips.

Timberline is like a beefed up mountain with heavy cover on knees and seat. Ascent is like a Tiburon, light and breezy. I have played with but don’t own the apex pants. They have a bit of a grid fleece so I am not quite sure how they stack up.

I am an attack fan. If I were looking at something to replace attacks, I would look at the prana zion. I listened to people rave about them for years and finally bought a pair. Less than a year later, I own two pair of the shorts, a pair of long pants and a pair of convertibles. I miss the attack hip zips and the cargo pocket design but the zions are a level more comfortable to me and seem to perform just as well with less pilling than my attacks. They are also $85 a pair (much cheaper on sale) compared to $140 for attacks.

I’m a fan of the zions as well.. I want a good early-mid season system from Sitka.. I appreciate your input!

Sitka ascent are great in the early season. After that nothing they have interests me because the hip zips on kuiu offerings are so helpful with moderating temperature which is important to me when you get into less breathable options.

I would say the new Traverse pants, which are an updated version of the older Ascent pants but without the stupid knee pads.

I love my attacks, but I also have found the Prana Zion do not stink as bad as the attacks after a couple days of use. I think nylon just doesn't hold smell like poly.

I bought a pair of the Prana Zions but ended up not wearing em on my last hunt as I just wore the attacks.

We rode through some thick brush that had a lot of thorns. The attacks held up pretty well. The prana's seem a bit thinner and I was glad I wasn't wearing them at the time. Do you guys find the prana's to have similar durability?

I'm looking for a new pant as I'm down about 40lbs over the last year and am swimming in my size 36 attacks... Was considering the pro pant but want to stay away from the skinny jean fit...

They'll be used on a very rocky/cactus filled hunt this year so durability/protection from scrapes/scratches will be my biggest criteria. May even wear snake gaiters over em on some days when I'm hunting alone...
