I have a PSR you can buy. For some reason I shoot much better with a Harris

The javelin is good if you are trying to go as light as possible. But the Javelin doesn't come close to the stability of an atlas. I would pick the atlas over the javelin in almost every situation. If you don't have any bipod at all, I would start with an atlas and maybe pick up a javelin later on for those special ultralight endeavors

I was leaning Javelin at first, then I held the PRS at Scheels and knew I was handling a piece of machine. Now I cant decide on the CAL or the PRS.

Get the CAL. I prefer it over the PRS. The PRS can be hard to "lock down" sometimes. Another great option, in my opinion, is an ultralight swivel harris with a pod loc. I run that on my main long range hunting rifle.

Is there anyway to “quick attach/detach” the Atlas bipod? To me this is the BIG selling point for the Javelin. I don’t have either but have been looking into both. I would definitely put the Atlas on a dedicated target/precision rifle but for a hunting rig I am kinda leaning toward the Javelin......unless the Atlas can come off just as easy?

You could use a picatinny quick release that comes on most of them, but it is not as fast a the magnet system of the javelin

The Atlas bipods do have a QD option but no they are not as quick as the spartan javelin. I have used the javelin almost exclusively the last 3 years and have made shots out to about 400 on animals and just past 1000yds on steel. The long shots on steel were dead calm as far as wind but the grouping was impressive none the less.

The javelin is great for certain purposes but they lack stability relative to more solid rail mounted systems such as the Atlas. I feel as a shooter I am somewhat in the middle ground of ability and want to improve on my skills, because of this I will be using either the Atlas PRS or one of the tier one bipods in the foreseeable future. I think I will be able to tighten up my groups and remove some human error with them. With the QD I can still leave the bipod off in thick brush through grizzly country but if I am taking a longer shot feel as though I will have plenty of time to attach it.
