I can't compare to anything else, but I can tell you why I chose the Javelin. My priority was not the most stable bipod or the best for long range shooting. I wanted it to be adequate for long range but it didn't need to be the best. I put my priority into weight and handiness. Most of my hunting is done inside 300 yards where I don't need a bipod anyway. For those situations, I just leave the bipod off. The thing only weighs 8.5 ounces so it goes in a belt holster without any effort. If needed, it takes seconds to deploy it and it only takes one hand to do it.
If stability is the priority, this probably is not the answer. It isn't bad but certainly not the best. The advantage to the Javelin is how stupid fast and handy it is.
