Alright here we go! I am looking to round out the collection before I decide to start buying rifles just for the fun of it. List your cartridges below as a humble brag/ curiosity.
No I am not with the ATF.

I prefer to just have a few calibers and base all of my rifles off of that because it’s much easier to build up a good stockpile of ammo when you are only buying 4 or 5 calibers.

so far I have 30-06, 7.62x51, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 5.45x39 for rifles and 9mm and .45 for handguns.

I keep the 7.62x51, 5.45x39, and 9mm stocked way deep and the others are more for fun with maybe a case or two of ammo at the most for each at any time.

I’m not into threads were folks show their gun rooms, man rooms, firearm collections, pin on a map where they live, list thier belongings, or their vacation schedules, ect.....

I wouldn't go down to the bar and flash a large wad of cash, or brag off all the fancy stuff I have in my house.

Just seems in poor form to me. But given all the threads I see on every chat board, many don’t share my way of thinking.

For big game a 30/06 is going to be hard to beat as a one gun option. With today’s better powders, you can really get sone horse power out of it. For decades it’s been under loaded in factory rounds due to the old military actions floating around. Also, a 180-200 grain billet, they can be loaded close to 300 win mag loads. In a lighter platform. For practical applications it’s going to be hard to beat for a one and done gun.

As far as buying more, the skys the limit. You can justify a lot. But, you gotta find the time to use them. And, I’m not listing anything I own on the internet. Kinda makes zero sense to me.

Good luck and enjoy.
