ASAT Essential Pants

Anyone used these pants before? They seem like a good price and have a DWR on them so I would think they would be an overall good pant for $100. Anyone use them and do you love em or hate em. I am curious because my dad needs a pair of early season pants and doesn't want to break the bank. I want to steer him away from a pair of $60 cotton pants. We also live in Oregon so having some water repellency is nice.

I have not used them, but in their catalog it says that the Essentials are made of a unique soft cotton fabric.

I have a pair of the ASAT essiential pants and I like them, They are an all polyester pant so they beat the cotton pants hands down, the only downside is that are not a brushed finish, so they have a tendency to attract burrs and stickers, other than that I think they are great value.
