I have a trip booked for late August with Arrowhead Outfitters in the NBR for 2026.
I'm looking for past clients of Arrowhead Outfitters to talk about your experience, advice, logistics, do's/dont's, gear, etc.
If you have hunted with them in 2025 could you please reply with your best advice?
Also, if you are open to a phone call please PM me.
Thanks!
Hey man, I hunted the North Bridger Unit with Arrowhead the last week of September 2025 (rifle elk/deer combo) and had a great trip.
Quick takeaways:
They work HARD. Long days, lots of glassing off ridgelines, then aggressive stalks once something is spotted. Be in legit mountain shape.
Camp is solid – wall tents, cots, hot showers every 2-3 days, and the food is way better than most outfits.
Horses are well cared for and sure-footed; we rode a lot more than I expected.
Bring good binos (10x42 minimum) and a lightweight tripod – glassing can be 2-3 hrs at a time.
Layering is everything. We had everything from 70° and sunny to a surprise 6” snowstorm overnight. Merino base + puffy + quality rain gear saved me.
Gaiters are a must – the burn areas are nasty with deadfall and ash mud when it rains.
They’re on you about scent control and playing the wind. No exceptions.
Shot a solid 5×6 bull on day 4 after passing some younger stuff. My buddy arrowed a dandy mule deer on day 6. Success rate felt high for the guys who could keep up.
Happy to hop on a call this weekend if you want the full rundown. Just shoot me a PM.
You’re gonna love it – beautiful country and those guys run a first-class op.
