Arrow squaring device

I have the lumenok FAST and it's pretty good, but some things might be improved..I do like it can be screwes to bench to get solid firm working platform

I've used the G5 ASD Flip for the last 5 dozen arrows I've built. Works well and is reasonably priced.

I’ve been using the original G5 device since it first came out. The newer version would work just as well the way I use it.

I do it differently than most though. I use a cordless drill. First gently tighten the chuck down on the nock end of the shaft, set up the arrow squaring device on the other end, grab that end with one hand that’s protected with a leather glove so the arrow is secured in the device, turn the drill on to spin the arrow fast for 5-10 seconds, remove from the drill, clean the end, inspect, repeat if needed until it’s perfect and it’s done. Repeat on the nock end if desired. If the tip burrs a little simply spin the arrow tip over a piece of fine sandpaper at an angle to smooth out the outer surface of the tip. I usually do this using the drill just before removing the shaft.

I’ve probably built 20 dozen arrows this way and have never damaged one with the drill chuck (gently tighten the chuck means just that).

I’ve used a lot of different ones over the years. My favorite is still the one from Firenock. It’s expensive compared to others but worth the extra few bucks if you can swing it.

I’m odd as I like the carbon express version I stick in a drill it works great and fast. Comes with 4,5,and a 6.5 mm tool.

I have the same one and use it the same way with a drill, i put a piece of paper towel or something similar over the device itself to rest the arrow on and so it can easily free spin in my hand while being spun up. I’ve been using the ASD since it came out.
