I need some arrow advice please.
I am currently shooting Victory VForce Elite 350's that are approximatley 390 grains total arrow weight. I would like to go up to 430-470ish grains but keep my 100 grain broadheads. My local archery shop recommends and carries the Victory RIP TKO 300's or the VForce 300's.

I purchased some 125 and 145 grain field points and brass washers so I could chronograph and get some KE/momentum numbers. The guy at the archery shop gave me the information below:
100 grain point - 390 grain total arrow weight - 302 fps - 79.78ft/lb of KE - 0.528/m
130 grain pont - 420 grain total arrow weight - 297fps - 82.64ft/lb of KE - 0.557/m
150 grain point - 440 grain total arrow weight - 288fps - 81.39ft/lb of KE - 0.565/m

Bow is a Bowtech Insanity at 70lbs. Arrows are currently 28" from insert to end of the nock.

The RIP TKO's are 8.8gpi and 0.204 shaft ID and the VForce arrows are 9.7gpi and 0.245 shaft ID.
The RIP's are a smaller diameter. They have a SS Shok insert/outsert (?) or a brass insert. With the brass insert my broadhead diameter is bigger than the arrow diameter and would stick out past the shaft. Would this affect arrow durability or anything else? I have read some negative things about outserts in the past. Do they still have issues?

Do the numbers above (speed, KE & momentum) seem accurate? I thought the 150 would have more KE than the 130.
Is 2, 3, 4... ft/lb of KE a significant enough difference to make the change? What about the momentum? Is a difference of 0.037 worth changing for? Could I add weight to my current arrows and if so how much with a 350 spine? If I go with a dozen new arrows, which direction do you recommend?

Thanks in advance for any help!

With the KE of any arrow weight you have your good to go for pretty much any North American game IMO. I'd lean toward the heavier ( 440 grain) and heavier tips as thats my preference..

Wow that is alot of questions.
I am not an expert and may get flamed for some of my views but I will do my best to help.
I dont calc ke at all a 70lb bow w a 450ish setup will be a killer.
A broadlead larger then shaft should be a good thing as after it punches the hole there will be less drag on ur shaft, should mean more penetration.
From what I hear is outserts bend unless they are stainless.
I have no knowledge of the arrows your asking about.
But to up total arrow weight you can use a brass insert, even adding a wrap is about a grain per inch, or cut your arrows longer.
Fyi I'm shooting the Axis pro 29.5, 4" wrap standard insert, 125 with a total weight 454

Boo: you provided a lot of information and also a lot of questions. But I think you left out the most important. What animal(s) are you hunting? There is a big difference between bowhunting Coues deer and Alaskan moose.

150 grain point on the same arrow will result in weaker arrow spine therefore the reduction in KE. bump up your arrow weight on that heavy tip and the KE should come up, I think. No expert though just basing it on research I've done for my own setups. Either way I don't think there's much in North America you couldn't kill with any of those setups.

I have some Victory Vforce 300's that weigh 480gr cut at 30" with 125's and 20gr of fletching. Even at 28" they'd weigh 460gr, and that's what I'd go with. Plenty of speed, weight, energy, and momentum.

Sorry I forgot to mention I will be hunting deer (whitetail and mulies), Black bear and Elk.
