Hello,

I just wanted to take a minute and say how awesome Aron is over at kifaru. Called him a little over a month ago and asked him about some packs and wanting to get an EMR II originally and after talking to him he steered me towards the DT1 which saved me about $100 and stated I could use those savings for pockets and accessories. He said if he could have only one bag that the DT1 would be his choice.

We then shot the shit about hunting packs and his hunts for about 25-30 minutes and didn't just try to rush off the phone and treated me as if we had met before. Then about a week later after he got back from the first part of his Governors Goat hunt he called me as a follow up (which I didn't ask him or call him first) and ask me if I had ordered the pack and if I had any questions about accessories and then again talked to me for about 10 minutes with stuff. I have never had a company or any specific person who works for a company follow up just to make sure everything went alright.

I will be a Kifaru customer for life and already have some other bags I wanna buy and will continue to support them.

So I got the DT1 yesterday just shy of a month from ordering it and it is seriously the most high quality pack I've ever got my hands on. I absolutely love the pack and the quality of it. Definitely so stoked to be hauling out my deer come the end of November for my deer hunt.

I loaded up about 50 pounds in the pack and was walking around in the house with it and felt like nothing. The comfort is on an entirely different level compared to the eberlestock M5 and the Kuiu icon pro 7200. I sold both of those packs to buy my DT1 and I'm so glad that I did.

If you have any doubts about the chunk of change you're gonna drop on a Kifaru throw them out the window and just bit the bullet and get one for yourself and you'll see that this pack will change your life when it comes to heavier loads. I haven't even got it in the field and I know it's going to perform great. Yes it's an investment but well worth it and especially because it's American made with American products.

Thank you,

Tj Perez

Seriously! Aron and everyone that I've talked to at Kifaru have been awesome. I sent Aron a PM on here when they released their new frame a few months back and he replied within an hour or so from 12'000 while on a hunt! How's that for customer service. Got my questions answered and ordered a new frame.

When the frame was ready about 5 weeks later I drove down to HQ and got help getting it adjusted, and my new bag switched over to it.

I'm so glad that I went with a Kifaru from the get go when I got into hunting.

Screw Aron, Angie rocks :). Kifaru is great no matter who you talk to and they actually care about the customer even if the customer bought their Kifaru gear used.

I understand that this forum encompasses a very defined segment of the population and Aron is a great guy for going above and beyond, calling from the mountain during a hunt, but can we please not talk about it and maybe erase those parts of the thread?

SOME OF US DON'T WANT ANYONE TO THINK IT'S EVEN REMOTELY POSSIBLE TO FIELD PHONE CALLS WHILE ON A HUNT!!

Be grateful for the fantastic service. Write Aron a thank you note. Whisper to your hunting buddies that he called from the mountain. Name your kid Aron. Don't talk about phone calls from the mountain with anyone else.

Think about your customers or boss expecting instantaneous contact while you're hunting, scores of voicemails, texts, e-mail. No thank you.

To pile on...the guy is great to talk with. He will take the time. Is super helpful. Get what you can from the pod cast and what he posts publically. But can't say enough about how generous he is.

That sat phone gobbles up several thousand dollars a year but it allows Aron to stay in the field doing the things he loves and doing all his jobs. Developing and testing gear and helping us and keeping up with the office. The sat phone makes the dream possible :)

Exactly. I've never had someone from Cabelas call me a week later and check to see if I ended up buying a products and if I had any other questions. All of us who have only a couple weeks of vacation and have to use it sparingly throughout the year don't have the time to do what he does. He doesn't have to do have the stuff he does, but he likes helping guys with hunting stuff and giving back to those less unfortunate.

x2 here as well. I was in Denver, and wanted to pick a couple things up, and meet Aron. I didn't have any great questions just felt I needed a little guidance. I texted with Aron who was of course busy, and expressed that I would like to meet up. He made it happen, and lined me out. I could tell he had things to do, but he took time to show me around, answer questions, and was very generous. I even admitted that I was making my own tent along the lines of the sawtooth. He corrected my direction on a couple of mistakes I was going to make on material selection. Very cool company.

I never got a response from Aron on Kifaru email either. He responds much quicker on the Rokslide PM for me anyway.

I think Aron is a turd...................................

Just wanted to break up the man love a little on this thread.
