Arluk Outfitters in Newfoundland????

No experience with them but just learned at a sports show I attended today that they bought out Roberts just recently. I know a lot of people on here have hunted with Roberts and I’m booked with them next year.

Just yesterday had Sportsman's Channel on the TV in the background - "Canada in the Rough" was the show; they were on a moose hunt with Arluk I believe. Bow, optional rifle. I wasn't watching with any detail but saw they passed on a few small bulls - don't know much more. Episode might be available to stream for viewing reference though.

As Jgross mentioned, we are going with Roberts in 2027 the third week of September. I can’t wait. The couple running their booth at the show, who were extremely nice people, talked a little bit about Arluk. Sounds like they have a helicopter or two as well as a couple float planes. So I’m guessing that’s y the higher prices. I’m sure they can get to more remote places, as well as fly your moose out once it’s down.

I spoke with Annie after the show and she assured me our prices were locked in and nothing would change for us. Her and Otto and their staff are staying in place for a while. Annie has been excellent to deal with throughout this process. Very informative and very quick to respond and communicate .

As I mentioned I’ve never been with arluk, but have seen numerous hunting shows that were there. They are just a bit more so out of my price range when we started looking at outfitters. Good luck to the OP on your hunt.

The gentleman at the show mentioned they bought out another outfitter as well but he didn’t mention a name .

I guess I lucked out on this one. I booked with MVO for Sept/ Oct. of 2027. Just talked to Johnny Letto and he assured me they will honor the original price. $5000 difference…

If anyone is going Sept. 26- Oct. 3 I would like to talk about driving. As of now I am flying, which has its own set of logistics….

No experience with Arluck but they recently bought out a neighboring outfitter- 2G. I've driven up the last 3 years and can't say enough good things about 2G and their fly in hunts. I'll be going again this fall (Sep 26-Oct 3) but flying instead of driving due to lack of free time. Arluck's prices are going up likely because they use helicopters to transport hunters to the field and sling-load moose from the kill site. If you have the free time and don't mind the windshield time its a great time of year for a long road trip.
