Just getting into the scene, only experience is Whitetail hunting public land! Any tips appreciated

Honestly I've been scrolling and looking for gear in them for about a month, just created by account today! It's going to take a small bank to get some gear so the classifies will hopefully be my friend!
 
What part of the state are you from? All of my experience is archery whitetail, so I'm learning too.

I’m from Fort Smith, grew up there and my parents are still there. I go to school at Arkansas Tech. I’ll graduate in the fall and go back to Fort Smith for work at a CPA firm.

I don’t hunt public much, but I have been thinking more and more lately about getting out to some hard to reach public spots on the river I’d like to hunt using a boat.
