Does anybody have a KML or GIS File (.SHP or .GDB) file with the hunt unit borders for Arizona? Normally this is easy to find public information on state's GIS Database Online Portal or through Fish and Game webpages. AZ does have a couple GIS Online Map Viewer webpages, but its only viewing and no download options.

I requested this information from AZ Fish and Game directly. At first they asked "Will these records be used for a commercial purpose?" I said, "No." Then they redirected me towards their online viewer tool: https://ert.azgfd.gov/content/map. Finally, they said they cannot provide the files with the response below:

"Unfortunately, we only have the data available on the website. Per ARS 17-252 we do not provide GIS files to the public other than through our website. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Let me know if you have any other questions."

Does any body know where to access these datasets? How does GoHunt or OnX get their borders for AZ without more manual approaches? Perhaps there's a need for FOIA request or something? Seems bizarre they cannot provide that information when basically all other western states do.

Other data sources (viewers only, no download options):

I have a layer file (.lyr) in my ArcGIS folder, that appears to be for the game units in AZ. I don't currently have an ArcGIS subscription, so I can't double check it.

I'll shoot you a DM to get your email, and hopefully what I have helps.

I have a KML that either I got from wapitibob or kthomas, too. I haven't checked it against latest regs or AZ's GIS map viewer online. But, happy to share.

I was also getting error searching for roofers near me then my neighbour share this roofing company toituremascouche.ca , but i waited to get it worked to check out this company reviews and they were awsome service provider.
Finding GIS data for hunting units in Arizona shouldn’t be this difficult! Unfortunately, it looks like AZ Fish and Game is sticking to their policy of only providing data via their online tools and not through downloadable formats.
As for how GoHunt or OnX get their borders, i think they likely work directly with state agencies or have access to special datasets, possibly through partnerships or commercial licenses. It's possible they pull from similar online viewers and then process the data themselves, but it’s not always straightforward.
