Arizona unit 8 outfitters

Does anyone have any recommendations on reputable outfitters in unit 8 early archery in Arizona? Looking at this tag as a OIL a would like to make the most of it.

I plan to call references for any outfitter I speak with, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience they would pass along.

Steve Chappel is where I would start, he hasn't been suspended, convicted, or charged, which seems to be the norm with AZ/UT outfitters.

Yeah it seems like a bunch of the higher profile outfits have had a little trouble the last few years.

The question is the goal a big bull or just a bull? Nothing can replace local knowledge if a big bull that’s the goal.

I have used A3 in the past, but like every outfitted hunt it always comes down to the actual guide in the field. That will ultimately determine how the hunt goes.


So when you check references make sure they hunted with the same guide you will have if at all possible, and talk with the guide personally as well.

I would look into Shadow Valley Outfitters based out of Prescott or High Point Outfitters in Flagstaff. Both have good reputations and knowledgeable that unit.

Congrats on the tag! I hunted with High Point when I had a tag in unit 8 in ‘21. Had a great hunt and was into bulls every day. Would recommend hunting with them. I know shadow valley also does well in 8 and also has a good reputation
