Argali Knives?

I've owned and used the Argali Carbon for a few years now. I've had it used on multiple animals before needing resharpening. That said as the saying goes it's easier to keep any knife (regardless of steel) sharp vs resharpening. Knives are Very personal (and I'm a knife guy - I own too many). I find the Argali Carbon is extremely well thought out for my needs in blade shape and size and while I typically am not a fan of skeletonized knives the G10 handle is very grippy and I like that I can stack my middle and ring fingers through the holes depending on the types of cuts I am making. Lastly however there is probably no Perfect knife for all things. I've been Highly interested in the sawtooth but for now my kill kit has the Argali Carbon and the Enzo Trapper in Elmax. All my other knives and there are too many as mentioned including Bark River are left at home. As a side note if you arent using Argali Game Bags - why not?!? LOL

I got the carbon a couple years ago and have been pleased with it so far. Worked up an antelope and an elk this year. Used a Case medium stockman on my bull last year because I somehow left my other knives at home. The Case did a great job as well but I had to use all three blades.

Another vote for the argali carbon. I have used mine on white tail and mule deer and it works great for skinning, and quartering.

It strikes a nice balance between a more swept blade for skinning and a finer blade for detailed work. The texture on the grip also keeps you safe when things get bloody.

Another vote for the carbon for most of the same reasons already listed. the ergonomics are perfect. I used mine this season on a black bear, most of a buddy's elk, and a mule deer and it did everything I needed it to. Everything from cutting quarters, to finer work peeling backstrap off, to the abuse of separating joints. I even cleaned it up at home and used it to break down the quarters. I also carry a cheap amazon wyoming knife to do most of my longer hide cuts in the field, it's quicker and saves the argali blade for the important stuff since hide can be a real edge killer. At the end of the season the Carbon wasn't hair popping sharp, but I did basically 0 blade maintenance to it over the season so I'm not gonna blame the knife there, something I'll plan to learn more of for next year.

Sent it back to Argali post-season for a resharpening and they got it hair popping sharp again, along with just general excellent customer service I have 0 reason to look for any other knife.

I don't want to give too much out yet, but I re-designed the blade shape by adding a little length and changing the shape so you're more likely to use the entirety of the blade. We're also adding a removeable handle set. More to come later in 2025. There are probably some OG Cols bouncing around. Now they will be a collectors item!

I own two Argali carbons and have encouraged hunting partners to buy them too. Best knives I've ever owned. Amazing edge retention, easy to field sharpen within reason, and not prone to rust. Perfect balance of size and weight and function.
