Argali Carbon VS Benchmade Steep Country

I just swapped to the Argali from the Benchmade. Needed something with less “belly” for whitetail.

Love the Benchmade for skinning. Not so much for the soft stuff and work around bones.

Yes they cover return shipping. Another note. I happened to drop mine in the tip the day I got it (slipped out of the sheath), and asked if they could fix it. Came back straight when they sharpened it. Pretty happy about that too.

Just bought the carbon during the black Friday sale but just got a hidden canyon. May keep both and try the sharpening service at some point.

One other interesting thought. Some of the higher end steel knives are a PIA to sharpen. I went with a BM because for $5 in shipping they will sharpen it after every hunt each year. Took advantage of it this year and was great. Took 9 days.

I just got 2 of my knives back from Benchmade, I send them out every year or 2 for a professional touch up, I’ve also sent my bugout in for work.

This year I dropped my steep country onto the gravel floor of my shop while I was cutting up caribou, the blade got sort of chipped up. They fixed it for me, looks new.
