I’m interested to see if anybody has feedback on the new area 419 hunt scope rings. I am choosing between those and the ARC. M-brace.

I just put a set of their match rings on a hunting gun, should have probably gone with the hunt rings as I could have spaced them a little easier.

They seem nice. The grip the scope feature of the raw aluminum seems interesting. They are low profile which I like over the m brace rings.

I’d be interested to see some third party testing of the rings ability to resist slippage.

I like the simplicity of the mbrace rings but I’m not sold on their holding ability.

That’s my thinking exactly. If it were so good why isn’t every company making that style now???…. I may try the area419 I can’t imagine they’d push a crappy product

I don't have the 419 hunt rings but do have a couple sets of the match rings. The next rings i purchase will most likely be the 419 hunt.

A few of my thoughts,
419
-very precise and easy to keep scope level when tightening.
-streamlined snag free
- Nice, big, quality fasteners
-4oz 30mm med

Nf ultralite's
-proven reliable
-the big nut is a bit obtrusive
-a bit cheaper
-3.1oz

Bat
-streamlined nice finish
-cheaper option
-fasteners rust
-3.4oz

Um premier
-kinda blocky
-the integrated very small level is is nice and could save $ buying level
-a bit more difficult to keep scope level when tightening
-4.5oz

Arc mbrace
-i like this flexible design seems to me like it has the best clamping ability
-effortless scope leveling
-will leave slight ring marks on scope
-Heavy, 30mm med 6.9oz a lite version of these would be nice

Good info! I know you will prob be buying the hunt rings next which means you like them…. But I’m assuming then no issues with your match rings??

The 419 hunts are excellent. .94 height is perfect for all barrels, bolt throws and 50mm objectives it seems.

But at the end of the day, they’re just a scope ring. Any quality one will do. But I like them. They also don’t rotate the scope when you tighten them down, which is nice.

I recommend the 419 rings. I mounted a scope the other day with them and will most likely continue to use them. The bottom rings gripped the scope tight enough by just laying it into them that I had a difficult time rotating the scope to level it before putting the top rings on. I am confident that the scope isn't going to move.
I have used the ARC rings as well but they're bigger, heavier and cost more if I remember correctly.

I have 3 sets of the match rings on my rifle. I swapped my 300 rum rings (due to slipping) to the match rings. Zero issues. Then changed out two more rifles. Plan to change another set out 2025.

I am pretty meticulous with mounting my scopes. All three rings aligned perfectly with my scope alignment tool. I found no need to lap the rings (have lapped all of my rings prior to this). Went with the match for more surface contact. Used loc tite and resin.

What rings slipped on your 300RUM?

Cross canyon one piece rings. If you are not familiar with them, they are a high quality ring. I had them on 3 rifles for years with no issue. The bases are pinned to the action. They are similar in size to the 419 hunt rings (or for that matter the majority of rings manufactured for "hunting").

To try to problem solve the slipping of the rings on the 300 rum, I went to the match rings for more surface contact. I also like that the ring caps are pinned. I have had zero issues to date with around 100 rounds shot.
