are your older SKB bow cases warping?

my brother's bow case is cartoonish..it is so warped. i looked at mine and it is beginning to do the same thing. the seams of the two halves dont meet at all on his..he needs to sit on his to get the four clips latched.

both of our (IIRC) are the 4117 or something..the double bow case.

i told him to contact SKB and push that warranty to the limit ..

yep, mine has been like that for a few years. the ends of the lid curl up, don't seal tight even when latched. for the money i haven't been very impressed with quality

I had one come apart on me and they replaced the whole case.

I was just looking at picking one of these up to store a couble bows to cut down on the space of 2 cases.

Wow, thats not good. Everyone raves about them on AT, so I picked one up when I saw them on sale over the holiday season.

Hopefully they stand behind that warranty for this. Please let us know OP.

the new ones are iSeries or something right? mine is the older 4114A model. just looked it up.

i am sure the new ones are way better. they appear closer to the pelican cases.

Mine is warped a bit. Don't have to sit down on it but have to push...
This is after five years of use and a few flights.

my brother is flying out for spring turkey.. he needs to get on the ball about the SKB.

SKB wants it shipped to them. they will fix or replace upon evaluation. so far, so good. customer service is on the right track.

I would imagine the warranty would be pretty good considering they will pay up to 1500.00 if your bow or rifle gets damaged. I bought my double bow case about a year ago and it has no problems with closing and it has spent a lot of time bouncing around the bed of my truck.

I have one of the first SKB double bow cases...bought the sample from the owner at the SHOT show when he intro'd them.

Yeah, its bent....not warped. Its the baggage monkeys bending them. No matter, the Sitka Nomad is SO much better in this era of 50# baggage....I never use my SKB anymore.

just to close this. SKB gets two thumbs up.

brand new bow case showed up in the mail. same model, no upgrade, but it definitely has that "new case smell"

all it cost was the price to ship off the old janky one.
