I’m
Looking for opinions on both of these packs. I’ve had a MR3DAP in the past and sorely miss it. I sold it in a fit of stupidity. Currently I have an Arcteryx Khard 30. The pack works, but I miss the tri zip design of the MR. I’m looking for a pack that can “do it all” for me. Day hikes, day hunts maybe as an overnight bag or range bag in a pinch. Does anyone have any opinions on both of these packs? I don’t have a lot of experience with Arcteryx products and would appreciate opinions/recommendations. Thanks.

I've got a Khard 30 in whatever they're calling grey these days. It's good, it's my daily carry. I like the modular nature of it, but it can be a little ungainly trying to get just one specific thing out of the bag if you need to. It splays open pretty easily for quick access, which also means depending on how it's loaded it's kind of floppy when opening up. If you have something with a little mass in a pouch at the top, if the compression straps aren't connected at the top, it will unzip the whole bag down the middle.

I recommend looking at the MR Blitz 30. It's more comparable to the Khard 30 in terms of access and it shrinks down very nicely with the horizontal compression straps.
