Great bull with an amazing story you will remember every time you look at him. Thanks for sharing the experience with us.

I'm just a whitetail so I'm not a real proficient elk "judger" but my gosh that looks like a monster sized elk.

Congrats one the bull !! Proof that patience and perseverance pay off. Congrats agin on a well earned trophy and hope the hand/nerve heal thoroughly !

Well done, that elk is a toad! set the bar high for your first archery bull. Hope you heal up quick.

That is a nice bull! Seems like I read on your blog post that your dad and buddy were glassing from across the canyon and saw the bull. Then called you on your radio to let you know it was there. Am I mistaken, or did you just not Include all the details this time ? Nice to have friends and family willing to go the extra mile to help out!

Actually I had glassed the bull for just a minute the night before along with some others. Then he snuck up in there in the morning from the other side of the ridge and found them. It was crazy he was able to get in so close.

What a great bull for you're first archery elk. Way to keep it together and not get bull fever at crunch time! Congrats on a awesome trophy.
