OP ^ you started the name calling with the “Captain Obvious” comment. Not sure if your questions about the rut were sarcastic but it’s hard to pick that up through text. Maybe don’t come in all half-cocked when people are trying to offer you advice. There is plenty of information available online, and specifically on this forum site about how to hunt. Chill out some and make productive conversation.

And yes the rut is the best time to kill a Muley off their private land. I caught this guy chasing a doe off his private land sanctuary in the rut
