Anyone have any luck on the opening weekend??

Headed out today after work for a few days. First time in many years they are calling for the possibility of a 89 high tomorrow, LOL.

I had to work opening weekend. I'm heading out Sun, Mon, and Tues.

It was hot as heck and drier than I have ever seen. Jumped a very expressive buck. He had me pegged well out of range. So I went home empty handed.

Went out and hunted last tue and wed at the start of this cold front, so far I've had 5 bucks in range with the 3 biggest being 18-20" 2x3s and a little 3x3 basket buck. I'm hoping to get back up soon and hopefully locate something a little bigger

you hunting out toward tamales? I live in northwest petaluma, familiar looking land. glad to see your on the bucks. I'm headed deep into the mountains this weekend for some scouting. Hope the bucks are there

Ya the close up buck and the pic for my baby and I are from the two rock area the rest are mendo county

Cool pics. That bedded forky with eye guards is going to be a really nice buck next year. He isn't far from being a shooter this year!
