I accepted a position in Laramie and I'll moving there in two weeks. Is there a decent outdoor range anywhere in the area?

The Laramie Rifle Range has a 60 yard range and host a 3d shoot in the summer. The High plains archery club also does some weekly shoots out there leading up to archery season. Curt Gowdy State park has a two mile loop with ~30 targets. Targets aren't 3-d, but its decent. High plains archery club has an indoor range, but Is limited to 30 yards. Good luck on the move. It'll be pretty chilly here when you arrive!

Thanks for the info, a new position is worth a little cold during the move.

Curt Gowdy also does a "bow hunters weekend" 3D shoot.

Fort Collins league shoots Wednesday evenings in the summer at the range at Prospect & I-25.

I don't know about archery, but Laramie is one long day from home for me, so I usually stop there on my way to Colorado. There's a bar along the railroad tracks, and whenever a train comes by, they all yell TRAIN SHOTS! Then everyone does a train shot. Good times.

Not sure about the outdoor range situation in Laramie but here in the next few weeks we will start our indoor triple crown (3D)in Casper, Cheyennes started this weekend. Bulleye archery in Laramie will be a good resource for you. When you get up to Casper we have a very nice field and hunter course that’s a public range. (Practice bales are rough, shoot the field course if you want a workout. Shoot the animal course if you want an easier go) Be prepared to travel a ton moving here, everything is 2-1/2 hours away and that’s just a normal drive. Shoot me a PM when you start needing more info on local and state shoots and I’ll help however I can

Bullseye Archery in Laramie went out of business several years ago. Talk to Andrew at Free Flow Outdoors. He is the president of High Plains Archery Club and very knowledgeable about shoots around the state.

As mentioned above, Ft Collins has a range along I25 and there is another one on the edge of Loveland.

I live in Cheyenne and like Wyohunth stated was spot on. There’s also a very nice club in Cheyenne area called Cheyenne Field Archers. We have lots of shoots and animal leagues on Tuesday and Thursday. Freeflow is a nice shop and the staff is friendly. Get ready for the winds we have here especially winter and spring.
