Solo November hunt on Kodiak last year.
I’ve killed some old Billies with a rifle that tasted pretty awful. This is a Nanny, from an area that is basically overrun with goats & acceptable to take. Much better table fare. Still a hell of an adventure & packout though.

Nice it’s something almost spiritual about using traditional gearTwo with traditional bow. First one on the last day of eight day hunt in BC. Second on the first day of eight day hunt in 2023. I was 63 on the first and 71 years old on the last hunt. The first one already had a broken right horn when I shot him. The second broke his right horn after I shot him. I'm not sure I'll try again!
