I am just jealous you have private property to hunt. Hunted them for 30 years and never had that. I wish you good luck. If you cant scout hunt as many days as you can and you'll learn where there at.

When I read the title I was trying to figure out what the heck "EL" was, so had to open it.

I really like hunting around timberline, which is generally around 11k-12k in CO. But I'll hunt as low as 9k as well, depending on the area.

I was curious why this thread wasn’t in the optics forum was the main reason it caught my attention lol. Daggum I don’t think you need swaros for archery but they are nice!

The last one we killed when it was OTC was between 8500-9500. That's been a few years though. Would imagine it depends on the terrain in each location. It is nice to feel that cooler air up high. Just can't breath.
