Archers Advantage vs qSpine - FPS much lower - What am I doing wrong?

Arrows built. Broadheads hitting with fields points. Last step...new sight tape.

I shot my new arrows today. 547.6 gains. My old arrows where 512 gains. I left my old sight tape on my Spot Hogg Fast Eddie Triple Stack and dialed the top pin to 20 while standing at 20. I was stacking them in the bullseye. So my 20 didn't change between the two arrow weights (I did turn up draw weight from 68 lbs to 71 lbs). I was a little shocked by this so I shot here for a while. After sending one arrow through my new fletching stacked in the center at 20, I was good. I slowly moved out further and further. At 50 yards, my tape needed to be at the 57 yard mark to put them in a 4 inch group at 50. After sending another arrow through a fletching, I was good. Shot broadheads with this mark at 50, shot a little low. I moved my rest up a touch and was in with the field points.

I put my info into archers advantage...

Range 1 was 20 yards. I set Mark 1 to 0. Range 2 was 50 yards. I took out my calipers, it measured .880 between 20 and 57 yards. Set .880 as Mark 2. Hit Calculate Speed and I get 210.1 FPS

qSpine has me at 252.55 FPS. Which is slower than preferred but I'm tuned, stacking arrows, and too close to leaving for Colorado to chase elk to mess around. That's way better than metrics at 210 FPS.

My first thought is my measurements are wrong or I'm using the program wrong. I'm watching youtube trying to figure this out. Anyone know what could be causing this big difference? Why is archers advantage showing much lower FPS?

Change your sight type. Sight type should be set to Fast Eddy since that’s what you’re using.

For practical purposes, it doesn’t matter if Archers Advantage says your sight tape is for 210 fps or 250 fps or any other speed. If the tape matches the trajectory of your arrow, that's all that matters.

That said, the qSpine speed number looks about right for your bow/arrow setup and the AA number looks low. I haven't used AA in a long time, but I see two things that might be giving you a low calculated speed:
1. You entered 252 fps for IBO speed. I think you should enter the bow's advertised IBO speed of 316 fps (i.e., speed at 70#/30"/350 gr), not the speed you're actually getting with your current setup.

2. You entered 50 yds for your Mark 2 range but said 57 yds in your post.
Edit: Disregard this point. I misread your post.

1. When I change the IBO speed I do get better FPS, 264 FPS which seems a bit fast seeing as I was at 263 on the chrono with a 512 grain arrow but if I go to print a sight tape with that IBO the line gaps are way too close together. Whenever I click "Calculate Speed" it will set the IBO back down to 252.

2. While standing at 50 yards, I needed to dial my old sight tape to the 57 yard marker to hit where I ways aiming. Meaning I'm slower than I was before, which makes sense seeing as I went up in arrow weight.

The sight tape at 210 fps does measure properly. It's just that 210 FPS has me worried if it's true.

It's not true. A 316 fps IBO bow at 71#/29.875" should be pushing a 548 gr arrow around 250-255 fps.

Also, if you were getting 263 fps at 512 gr, there's no way you lost 53 fps by adding 36 gr.

The gap between 20 and 50 on the sight tape it prints out is .880 inches. That's what I mean it measures properly. I totally agree the 210 FPS is not right. Trying to figure out the why.

Buy a chrono and shoot through it if you really care that much...But as stated, doesnt matter if your tape is right

Double check your peep sight height and the sight go peep length.

The tape should be relatively accurate, even tho it's showing the wrong speed. It's simply calculating the IBO from the inputs you gave it. Something in the inputs has to be off, just a matter of double or triple checking to find where it's off.

I normally get AA aligning with my chrono.

It could also be possible you floated your anchor a bit somewhere between 20 and 50.

sure, but it sounds like you dont care about AA working properly, and are just worried about your FPS. So shoot through a chrono to confirm

The whole reason for posting every photo on how I set AA up and asking the questions "Anyone know what could be causing this big difference? Why is archers advantage showing much lower FPS?" Was to figure out what I'm doing wrong in the program. Thank you for the suggestion to shoot through a chrono.
