I'm going to be adding an arca rail to my rifle. Weight isn't that big of a concern but I'm looking at either the 4" or 6" rail from SRS. Is the 4" to limiting in terms of positioning? I don't want to go any longer than 6" on this gun.

I had the little mini SRS rail until I went full arca tard this year. For just mounting your tripod you really don't need a lot.

I only went full arca because I bought an arca bipod. So it was easier to just use a full length srs.

I think it depends on how long your forend is. I like mine long enough that I can have the bipod out at the end of the stock but still able to clip in to a tripod and reach the levers.

I like tripod by the magwell but bipod out front obviously. Really only use the tripod for competition and night hunting, and my rail oncomp rifles goes from magwell to a few inches out past the foreend. I really like the Manners PH with the Arca rail by the magwell for tripods for night hunting.
