Arca compatible fluid heads for scope and binos

Hi All,

I am looking for a nice fluid head for spotting scope/binos that will clip into my existing ball head and was wondering if I could pick your all’s brains. I have been looking at the RRS PT-Scout and the Aziak Vantage but one is about 2X the price of the other. I have never used either hence why I am reaching out on this site for some more input/opinions on them and is them. The main reason I have looked at these two is I already own a couple very nice tripods and ball heads (I use to be heavy into photography) and I really enjoy shooting from a tripod so I want a way to quickly and easily clip my glass onto my tripod. As in I lock out the ball head level and then I just arca clip on the PT-Scout with my scope or binos.

Any real world use reviews/opinions of the RRS or Aziak are welcome, also open to other option as well.

I have a Aziak Frontcountry with Frontcountry ball head. While it's very nice, I think if I had to do it again I would opt for a Sirui with a VA5 fluid head. They can be had for $70 for just the head and $150 along with very nice ST 124 tripod. I paid $650 for my Backcountry and might sell it in place of this Sirui.

I recently purchased an Aziak Vantage Pan Head from S & S Archery. I have no experience with the other head you mentioned, but I could not be happier with my purchase. It is lightweight, works flawlessly and is a huge upgrade from the ball head I used for the last few years. Good luck with your decision.
